Steamboat Sails
Hello neighbors! You will see a different format in this edition of Steamboat Sails, and I am afraid that you won’t be happy. It turns out that it is against our governing Multiple Listing Service (MLS) rules for us to include any active or pending real estate listings in mailing pieces. Though I have been doing this mailing on the Steamboat peninsula since 2006, after last month’s edition another broker turned me in for this violation I was unknowingly commiting. Alas….now that I am aware of the rule, I can only mail out SOLD listing information, but you can access the active listings via our website. Just visit www.brennerandwatts.com and hover your mouse over the Property Search tab at the top. There you will see a drop-down menu that will include a link to Steamboat Sails Stats that will show you everything active, pending AND sold on the peninsula for the past six months. For waterfront information specifically, you can click the Waterfront tab and get to links for sold information.
Also, thanks to the detail-oriented readers who alerted me to the accidental re-naming of Steamboat Island “Road” to “Drive” in the last Steamboat Sails. I was trying to delegate a task……now I have taken it back as my own! I love feedback, good and bad, so keep it coming.
My youngest child just graduated from Griffin and is headed to Capitol High School. I find myself feeling a little disconnected from the local community in that the school is such a central part of what glues us together. I am going to spend some time getting to know other neighbors by going to the upcoming picnic sponsored by the Griffin Neighborhood Association.
